Canadian Rockers HMV Next Big Thing UK gigs to preview Misery Loves Company single out Feb. 27th

Whether turning their hand to Deep Purple-esque retro rock on People Of The Deer, the elegant Tom Petty pop of Ill Find Someone Who Will or the delightfully laid back Dreaming Man, there isnt a flawed track. Indeed, its one of those rare albums where every song could easily become a hit single. Its a rare feat for an album to be so consistently powerful. 9/10 Rich Wilson, Classic Rock Presents AOR, July 2011 issue.

The Trews are one of Canadas top rock draws, mixing no-nonsense hard rock with arena anthem appeal. Opener Misery Loves Company is haunted by the spirit of Thin Lizzy, People Of The Deer channels churning guitar and dual lead licks from the cusp of the 60s and 70s, and Stay With Me is an obvious single down the line. The title track gives Kings Of Leon a run for their money, suggesting hope aplenty.

Paul Cole, Birmingham Sunday Mercury, May 29th 2011.

An LP full of well crafted rock and harder-edged pop songs with plenty of melodic hooks from this Canadian four-piece – Paul Rigby, Hi-Fi World, August 2011 issue.

Consummate rockers The Trews, one of Canadas top live acts, are set to fly in to the UK next month to play two prestigious HMV Next Big Thing shows in London and Birmingham prior to select gigs in their own right. Dates are:-

Mon. 6th Feb LONDON Relentless Garage – HMV Next Big Thing gig with Virginmarys

Tue. 7th Feb BIRMINGHAM HMV Institute – HMV Next Big Thing gig

Wed. 8th Feb GLASGOW Captains Rest

Sat. 11th Feb BRADFORD Gasworks
