5 CDs (Actually 52!) That Rock Sugar Can’t Live Without

Following on from their rather amazing, exclusive interview (https://www.rock-zone.co.uk/2012/03/21/exclusive-rock-sugar-talk-to-rock-zone-uk/) the boys from Rock Sugar have very kindly given us their 5 CDs that they can’t live without. Now, these guys are clearly cut from the same cloth as me…if something is worth doing it’s worth overdoing, so Jess, Chuck, Ken and Alex have each given their favourite 5 (or 37 in Alex’s case – well done for getting it down to that number as I would struggle to get below 100!). If you haven’t heard these records you need to get hold of them – you’ll hear some of the influences behind Rock Sugar but more importantly you’ll hear some great music.

Jess Harnell’s 5 CDs I Can’t Live Without:

1. The Beatles “Revolver” – The best album ever by the best band ever. Enough said.
2. Journey “Infinity” – The album that made me want to be a singer.
3. Harem Scarem “Mood Swings” – The band that should have been Bon Jovi.
4. Venice “Born and Raised” – The band that should have been The Eagles.
5. Anberlin “Cities” – The best modern rock band around. Rock Ain’t Dead!

Chuck Duran – 5 CDs Chuckie D can NOT live without:
1. Van Halen 1
2. Van Halen 2
3. UFO “Strangers in the Night” Live
4. AC/DC “Back in Black”
5. Whitesnake (first album)

Alex Track’s 5 CDs (or so!) that he can’t live without:
1. Van Halen (All of them including the CD’s with Sammy Hagar)
2. Queen (All 17 of them)
3. Whitesnake (Slide It In, Whitesnake, Slip of the Tongue)
4. Aerosmith (Toys in the Attic, Pump, Get a Grip, Permanent Vacation)
5. Def Leppard (Pyromania, Hysteria).

Ken Cain’s 5 CD’s he can’t live without:

2. Jimmy Eat World – “Clarity”

4. The Knife – “Silent Shout”
5. Dinosaur Jr.  – “Where You Been”

Once again, Rock Sugar have been amazingly supportive to Rock-Zone UK. Thank you so much fellas!
