GUNS N’ ROSES FANS WALK OUT OF ENGLAND GIG AFTER LOSING ‘PATIENCE’ WITH THE BAND

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before, but Guns N’ Roses turned up late for a show again. This time it was the crowd in Manchester, England, that sat around waiting for the show to start. However, rather than being unruly, a good portion of the crowd just left instead.

The group was supposed to go on at 10PM, but it was well over an hour later before the lights finally came up for the band to play. By that time, it was estimated that only 6,000 of the 10,000 capacity had stuck around to catch the performance.

Several fans went on Twitter to share their dismay over the late start. Fan Alison Parker tweeted, “I’m angry. Guns N’ Roses? No Goons and Losers. Had to leave for the last train before they even graced us with their presence. Disgusted.” Meanwhile, one audience member that stuck around followed the growing trend of hurling a drink at the stage once the band started performing.

However, that being said, those that did stick around were treated to a 33-song, three-hour performance that finally wrapped at 2:15 in the morning. The band’s Twitter and Facebook accounts didn’t acknowledge the walkout, stating, “A tip of the hat to the good folk at the Manchester Arena. To say Manchester rocks is an understatement! London calling!” Speaking of London, the group will finish their European trek with two nights at the O2 Arena May 31 and June 1

**HOWEVER watch this space because Rock Zone UK’s David Wilson was invited to attend the show and said it was awesome! Full report is due soon!

  1. If this story is true then my eyesight is well and truly shot…as is that of my “plus one”.

All I would say is if they had written the headline “Fans Stay Until End of Show – SHOCKER!” it wouldn’t fit the bill of the usual Axl/G n’ R stories.

Yes some left before the end (particularly the couple with the 12 year old who were in front of me) but not until after 1.30am.

If the numbers being mentioned were true then you would notice it in the Manchester Arena. Sorry but I suspct lazy, sensationalist writing.

    ….and no, I’m not doing the PR for G n’ R! However…..
