Slash warns fans over documentary release

Slash has warned fans that a double-disc documentary announced this week was not authorised by him. The Cat in the Hat: The Story So Far includes the main feature plus wide-ranging audio interviews and is due out in August. But Slash says: “The documentary is not authorised. I have nothing to do with it.”

Meanwhile, the guitarist’s former bandmates Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin teamed up during Guns n’Roses’ show in London last night. Stradlin guested on 14 Years, You Could Be Mine, Dead Flowers, Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, Nighttrain and Paradise City. He last played with GnR in 2006. It’s the first time the band played 14 Years since a performance by the classic lineup in 1991.
