Breed 77, For the Imperium, left Unscarred and Seven deadly – Live Reviews

Heading to the venue recently renamed NQ live, I was looking
forward to the gig but not the venue as I was previously informed of its
negative aspects with people regarding it as a ‘dive.’ On entering though
I was happily surprised at the refurbishment that had been carried out
on the place it seemed as though it had improved immensely. The only
problem was there was not much of a crowd and not any sort of
atmosphere.

This completely changed as soon as the first support band ‘Seven
Deadly’ (who feature members of panic cell) entered the stage. Even
though it was only a small crowd they were able to entertain them with
their catchy melodic thrash metal and superb frontman presence.
Integrating the crowd into their songs, getting them to sing along really
got everyone going. There did seem to be issues at times with the
vocals although this did not deter from instrumental quality and unique
songs.

The crowd were now nicely warmed up ready for ‘For the
Imperium’ to enter the stage and deliver what they had to offer. To be
honest this was not a band that I was looking forward to seeing although
they totally blew me away with the energy they gave and their extreme
talent! This is defiantly a band that I would advise people to go see live
as they put on an amazing show and can really draw the crowd in.

Next up was ‘Left Unscarred’ and to be honest this band did
nothing for me and I felt as though I lost interest quite quickly. When
speaking to other members of the crowd I found that quite a few of them
were in agreement. The part of the crowd closer to the front of the stage
though seemed as though they were enjoying the bands fast paced
heavy riffs and melodic harmonies.

These support bands warmed the crowd up nicely ready for the
appearance of ‘Breed 77’ which everyone was very excited about. They
came out to an rip roaring applause with the occasional scream and
started with a few songs off the new album ‘The Evil Inside.’ Singing the
set with such passion really draws the crowd in and makes for a spine

tingling gig with an indescribable atmosphere! This was enhanced even
more by the sound of ‘La Ultima Hora’ and the unbelievable cover of the
cranberries ‘Zombie.’ These songs were the highlight of the night,
confirming that ‘Breed 77’ are a must see live band!
