1crashsceneTwo festival fans have been killed and several seriously injured after a driver drove his car into a concert queue then fled the scene.

The hit-and-run took place outside a venue in Austin, Texas which was taking part in the annual South By Southwest music event.

Austin Police have confirmed the unidentified driver has been arrested. They report: “23 individuals have been transported to hospital. Of those, five are in critical condition, two deceased.”
