Review: Fire Red Empress – Paint Me The Devil Album Review By Erin Ellwood

FREIt’s always exciting to find a new band that you didn’t know about, especially when they’re as good as Fire Red Empress! As soon as I listened to this album, I fell in love with it. In fact, within the first 30 seconds of the first song, Left Unspoken, I was in love!

Track one, Left Unspoken, is a brilliant opening to the album and probably my personal favourite.

Catchy choruses, heavy guitars and incredible drumming combine to create something incredible

that you just won’t be able to get enough of. Track two, Paint Me The Devil, follows very well from

track one and includes slower sections which really show off the vocals. Track three, Behind The

Veil, finishes the album well with more catchy choruses, heavier sections, slower sections and the

occasional impressive scream.

There are no real flaws in this album. It’s an incredible debut EP from Fire Red Empress and I’m

excited to hear more music from them in the future.
