Artrocker (‘Album of the Month’), Kerrang, Big Cheese and Rock Sound were all lavish in their praise, and BBC Radio 1, NME Radio, XFM, Total Rock and more played out cuts from the album. 2011 was then rounded off with Mojo Fury winning ‘Best New Band’ at the Artrocker Awards in London.

In the past 12 months the band have toured with the likes of Amplifier, Maybeshewill, Lite, and ASIWYFA, along with stand out performances at festivals like Sonisphere, 2000Trees, Live At Leeds, In The City and Brainwash, which have enhanced their rapidly growing reputation as one of the UK’s most intriguing and exciting bands. This year the band showed no signs of stopping by spending 35 dates on the road supporting InMe and LostAlone in February and March.

Now in April the band have headed into the studio to record their 2nd album set for release later this year. If that wasn’t enough Mojo Fury have also announced their next UK tour in May which sees them again hooking up with label mates LostAlone.

I'm not really sure how best to describe the following video. I think it's best if you just sit back and watch:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1irhJF19PFY&feature=fvst

The laws of probability dictate that living in Bermondsey leads to a high chance of spending your life getting twatted at the weekend in between the 9 to 5 grind. Forming a heavy rock band inthis part of the world makes you somewhat of ananomalyand that’s just howAntlered Man like it.

The band have always lived a nomadic, hand to mouth existence and squandered their limited earnings on various botched musical campaigns. Now with the economic downturn hitting our pockets hard, were all preparing for a taste of what it’s like to be inAntlered Man and this is one of many themes mused in dbut albumGiftes 1&2.

Hailed by Artrocker as anIntriguing mash between the metally poetic darkness of SOAD and our own favourite Future of the Left , the band describe themselves asfucked up shape-shifting band with lots of punk-ethic goo spattered on top. This becomes ever so clear on the upcoming singleSurrounded By White Men released on 13th February.

ThisMike Patton infused, dirty political power house of a band also captured the attention of Belfast’s finestAnd So I Watch You From Afar who took them on tour across Europe in late 2011.

Antlered Man’s dbut is a schizophrenic beast. A record that would nestle happily on the Ipecac roster and again like Patton they havemaintained that things are always done better when they actually do it themselves. A little narcissistic, yeah, but when you’re this badarse – you deserve a label. So with this in mind the band set up their own imprint in the form of Goo Grrrl Records

Plans for a full UK/European tour in March/April are under way and with the release of Giftes 1&2and more recording in the pipline – both lyrically and musically it will be hard for anyone to come close to this band in 2012

Antlered Man are Danny Fury (guitar), Damo Ezekiel Holmes (vocals), Sam Ray (bass) and Oliver Parker (drums).

“Driven by a dirty, fuzzy bass, anti-establishment types Antlered Man go a bit SOAD with this rather good anti-capitalist rant” – Kerrang, April 2011

“As soon as we heard the filthy, dirty hulking bassline of AM’s debut single, we were hooked, line and sinker”

Rock Sound, April 2011

“Intriguing mash between the metally poetic darkness of SOAD and our own favourite Future of the Left

Formed in 2005, Maybeshewill have been quietly building an enormous fanbase worldwide, whilst keeping their heads down and getting on with doing things the way they think they should be done.Their latest album ‘I was Here For A Moment Then I Was Gone’ received widespread critical acclaim including glowing reviews and coverage from Kerrang, NME, Terrorizer, Big Cheese, Artrocker and RockSound.
