Load – Not On TV
The Debut CD from Load is very impressive indeed! On first listen all you hear are Sean Brady’s strong vocals, but underneath that powerful made-to-rock voice are ripping riffs and fantastically written tunes!
Stating their influences as Red Hot Chilli Peppers & Zepplin; to name but a few, this up and coming band from Hertfordshire really have nailed it in my opinion!
‘Normal’ is one of my favorite tracks on the CD with thought provoking lyrics and smooth sounding melodies, in contrast to the following track, the in your face ‘Get It For Free’; which is one of the more fast paced songs on the album.
Other stand out tracks are the title song ‘Not On TV’, ‘Priceless’ and the gorgeous ‘Fall Forever’; which I have listened to several more times that the rest!
There have been some line-up changes but this sounds as though Load have finally got the right combination and chemistry to pull this off. I hope that a national tour follows the CD’s release as I would love to hear these songs performed live (Get yourselves to Durham lads!)
