FOO FIGHTERS REACTIVATE CHEVY METAL COVER BAND WITH MICK JAGGER, ‘SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’ CAST

If you thought the season finale of ‘Saturday Night Live’ was a little heavier than usual on the musical input, that was only the beginning of the musical bash thrown down to finish out the year.

Finale guest host Mick Jagger joined fellow music guests the Foo Fighters in throwing one hell of a going-away party for the cast and crew. The Foo Fighters led the way, reactivating their cover band alter ego Chevy Metal for the evening. The group played a handful of favorites with a number of the past and present ‘SNL’ cast members joining in on vocals.

Some of the highlights included an Amy Poehler-led rendition of Joan Jett‘s ‘Bad Reputation,’ rumored exiting castmates Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg uniting for another Jett classic, ‘I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll,’ and Jagger joining the Chevy Metal boys to play his own Rolling Stones classic ‘Miss You.’ Audience-shot footage (a little jumpy and with a few audio cutouts) of the performances can be seen below.

The cast party was the end of a busy day for the Foo Fighters, who had headlined Bamboozle in Atlantic City before heading to New York to play the ‘SNL’ season finale.
