Angry Bears release music video for ‘Holla-daze’

‘Holla-Daze’ was featured on Easycore’s holiday compilation last month, and having completed the video, attention will now turn to February when they head into the studio with Man Overboard front man Nik Bruzzese to record the follow
up to last Spring’s energetic, melodic and raw Stay Gold E.P. Stay Gold would subsequently enhance the band’s following from state level to national and beyond, landing them support slots with Rocky Loves Emily and Victory Records’ Victorian Halls in the process.

This rise in popularity was highlighted by a feature in June’s Alternative Press magazine, followed by an appearance at the ‘Rooftop Rockoff’ at Mohegan Sun Casino, all of which preceded a busy summer of shows for the band. At the end of September they joined On My Honor, Audiostrobelight and Above The Underground for the New England leg of
their U.S tour before a busy winter period, playing shows with Major League, MAKER, Turnover and Life On The Sideline.

Angry Bears are the exciting and energetic pop-punk trio from Norwich, CT, whose debut E.P Stay Gold is out now on iTunes

Initially established in 2008 under the name Licensed To Save, Aaron, Dylan & Rich-O reformed as Angry Bears in early 2010 with a new sound, energy and passion for music.

Angry Bears made short work of making a name for themselves in the local scene, grabbing attention with their high octane, aggressive live shows during which the band is renowned for forging an energetic rapport with their ever growing crowds. In spring of 2012, Angry Bears released their debut E.P Stay Gold, producing a release that integrates the natural aggression and raw energy of the band, with up beat tempo and melody, and unlike many of their contemporaries, Angry Bears impresses when delivering both the ‘pop’ and the ‘punk’ in this engaging six track release.

With word spreading beyond merely state level, Angry Bears landed a number of notable support slots, with the likes of Rock Loves Emily, and Victory Records’ Victorian Halls. Continued recognition culminated in Angry Bears receiving two nominations at the ‘Whalie Awards’ (Best Record & Best Punk/Ska Song) – Southeastern Connecticut’s answer to The Grammys.

Stay Gold only fuelled the fire already surrounding Angry Bears, and a feature in June’s Alternative Press magazine acknowledged the bands continued assault on national and international recognition. A performance at the ‘Rooftop Rockoff’ at Mohegan Sun Casino kick started a busy summer of shows for the band who then went on to join On My Honor, Above The Underground and Audiostrobleight on their U.S tour in September.

In the run-up to the 2012 winter holiday period Angry Bears recorded an exclusive festival song, titled ‘Holladaze’, to be released as part of Easycore’s end-of-year Christmas compilation. In coordination with the release the band filmed an accompanying video, which also premiered through Easycore.

Angry Bears will begin recording the follow-up to Stay Gold in January, where the band will have the pleasure of working with Man Overboard Bassist/Vocalist, Nik Bruzzese, at his Small Hill studio in New Jersey.
