Black Sabbath Cancel All But One Show
Black Sabbath have now cancelled all but one of their planned European dates.
The reunited band will still headline the Download Festival on Sunday, June 10.
But all the rest of the European shows will now be played under the name of Ozzy & Friends. Ozzy Osbourne will be joined by bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Zakk Wylde for the gigs.
MC5 Bassist Dies
Michael Davis, who was the bassist with the massively influential MC5, has died at the age of 68.
Davis, who had been receiving treatment for liver disease, joined the band in 1969 prior to the recording of their debut album Kick Out The Jams. He left in 1972, just before the band split up. But he was part of the MC5 reunion in 2004.
Journey Sued Over Neal Schon’s New Girlfriend
Journey are caught up in massive lawsuit – and all because a reality TV star has left her husband for Neal Schon, the band’s guitarist.
Michaele Salahi, who starred in Real Housewives Of DC, walked out on husband Tareq last September so that she could be with Schon.
Now the apparently furious hubbie has launched a whopping $50 million lawsuit.

When is a tribute act not a tribute act? No, it’s not some kind of joke – it’s a serious question. With the growth in “nostagia bands” it could be argued that many of the current incarnations of once great rock bands are merely top of the range tribute acts – separated from the pack because they have one of the original line-up taking part in the current guise (or in the current guises in some cases!). I don’t have a problem with it, there’s a market and I can remember seeing Brian Connolly’s Sweet play the May Ball when I was at university and thinking it was great. However, back to my question……
