The 1975 announce new EP / UK Tour

Hotly-tipped The 1975 are set to release the final installment of their EP trilogy. Music For Cars will be released through Dirty Hit on Monday 4th March and follows in the footsteps of their two acclaimed EPs Facedown and Sex.

The five-track EP swoons with the band’s signature hybrid sound of alternative rock, pop and R&B. Proving that this Mancunian four-piece is ever bold in pushing past sonic boundaries and are so much more than the sum of their parts. Opener Anobrain and tracks HNSCC and Heads. Cars. Bending bask in explosive murmurs of atmospheric sonic delights, while closer Me takes heart-breaking modern soul to new depths. But it’s for lead single track Chocolate to encompass The 1975’s pop swagger and vigour with its syncopated, propulsive beats and day-dreaming guitar riffs. A future alternative anthem in the making.

Currently holed up in a studio working on new material, The 1975’s debut album will be co-produced by the band and the award-winning Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Foals). With this trilogy of EPs already under their belts, the full-length promises to be an affair of enormous proportions.

The 1975 has also announced 24 dates following a sold out tour last year. They will play the below dates ahead of their appearance at this year’s SXSW.
