Deaf Havana – ‘Boston Square’ Brand new single impacts July 1st

Deaf+Havana+DEAFHAVANNA_300509_087After unplugging their softer side for a string of sold-out UK dates – including two Union Chapel shows – dynamic six-piece Deaf Havana keep up the momentum with their new single ‘Boston Square’.

Featured as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record for a Radio 1 premiere-  http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/zanelowe/ – it impacts July 1st on BMG Chrysalis and was written by burgeoning songwriting powerhouse, 22-year-old James Veck-Gilodi.

Co-produced by James and the incomparable YOUTH (The Orb, The Verve, Primal Scream) along with Lee Batiuk, this confident blast of festival ready singer-songwriting packs an almighty punch and raises the bar even higher for the Norfolk sextet.

‘Boston Square’ is the first taste of Deaf Havana’s eagerly anticipated and many-sided third LP, packed full of gut-busting anthems, tear-inducing ballads and everything in between.

It’s the follow-up to ‘Fools and Worthless Liars’, which spawned fan favourites ‘The Past Six Years’, and the anthemic ‘Hunstanton Pier’, just two of many highlights from Deaf Havana’s April tour.

With a No.1 UK Rock album, 35,000 in major debut LP sales and an iTunes single of the week, Deaf Havana will this year add more layers to their versatile sound as they usher in a new phase; opening for Bruce Springsteen at Hard Rock Calling on Sunday June 30th, 2013 is theirs for the taking.

Tune in next Tuesday for more exciting announcements…

Deaf Havana are frontman James Veck-Gilodi, guitarist Chris Pennells, bassist Lee Wilson, drummer Tom Ogden, pianist Max Britton and guitarist and vocalist Matthew Veck-Gilodi.
